Speech fluency targets a child's ability to speak smoothly and easily. Difficulties with speech fluency is commonly referred to as Stuttering.
Fluency Packet #1: This is a comprehensive packet with multiple activities that a child could complete. It targets various strategies used in fluency therapy with examples and directions throughout. Let your SLP know how this went! Feel free to work on small sections at a time.
Fluency Packet #2: This packet is full of games and fun! It's a great way to reinforce the strategies practiced in Packet #1. You can use your own pinwheel or there is a template included to build your own. Let your SLP know how much fun you had working on your Fluency Pinwheels!
Pre-K Fluency Binder - this binder includes several activities for preschoolers. Feel free to work on it with your student in small sections!
Fluency Strategies - this handout provides several fluency strategies, as well as visuals for younger children!
Verbal Prompts - this handout provides a variety of verbal prompts to use for stutter-free and stuttered speech, including: acknowledgement, praise, requesting the student to evaluate their speech, and requesting the student to correct their speech.
Fluency Activity Ideas - use the verbal prompts, and have your child practice using the fluency strategies from above to answer open-ended questions or read you a book!
