Bible

Learning Targets:  Unit 2 is both theological and practical. It builds the philosophical and spiritual case for Bible internalization. Each lesson adds a layer: hagah as method, honey as delight, rootedness as fruit, the formation of Scripture, the formation of the heart, the role of the Holy Spirit, and Jesus as model. 

Friendzy:  Unit one of our Friendzy curriculum is ‘Ohana-Stick together! It addresses the important topic of community.  One of our key Bible verses for this unit is Romans 12:9-10 which says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourself.” The other is Hebrews 13:1 which states, “Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.” This month our school will focus on understanding how we can accomplish more together as a community of believers than any of us ever could alone.

Math

Learning Targets:   We will be discussing word problems with greatest common factors and least common multiples.  Then we will be reviewing.

Language Arts 

Learning Targets:  Students will analyze Lowry’s use of foreshadowing and examine how Nazi racism impacts the characters.
