Learning Targets:  After taking the Math MAP Test on Monday and Tuesday, we will be discussing how to add and subtract mixed numbers with different denominators.

Learning Targets: This week we will review for our Test on Wednesday.  

After the test we will be starting to explore concentrations and what different substances are more concentrated than others. 

Assessment: Science test on Wednesday Sept. 23

Learning Targets: This week we will discuss European explorers. Why did they choose to explore? What tools were important to them?

Project: 

Reading/Writing:  This week, we will continue our shared reading unit on the book Dash, a story about a young Japanese American girl named Mitsi living who is sent to an internment camp during WWII and is separated from her dog, Dash. This story explores themes of prejudice and resilience, which we will discuss as we read the book together.

Homework:  

• Thursday: Finish vocab review sheet if unfinished

Assessment: 

• Super sentence/vocab quiz on Friday

Band: Full band on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Keep encouraging your child to bring their instrument home to complete their band checkup! Come to band without instruments on Thursday (9/24). Band Checkup due on Monday.
