There is now an easy way to utilize a PDF and allow students to edit and turn in a completed PDF to you. Teachers and students can try this out by installing the "Doc Hub" chrome extension. It has been whitelisted, so you can share the link and students can add it to their chrome extensions themselves.Â
Attach the PDF to your Assignment. Make sure to select "Make a copy for each student." Click Assign.
When they open the PDF, they have to click "Open with" at the top middle of the document and choose "DocHub."
They will be prompted to login with their school Google account.
At this point, they can highlight, draw, and add text boxes to the PDF to complete it.
Click on the down arrow at the top right corner of the Doc Hub screen. (This is highlighted in yellow on the right side of this page for reference.)
Select the G Drive button. Make sure that "Update existing with revision" is selected. Then choose "Export to Drive."
The teacher can use the Google Classroom grading window to flip through submissions and provide feedback using private comments.
