Infinitec is an online resource filled with online professional development through videos and webinars. Our district has had access to this resource in the past, and recently we have resubscribed. As a staff member, you will have access to Infinitec by creating an account. Further information about Infinitec (click here) is located in the Infinitec folder located in our District Resources Folder

Once you create an account, click on “My Dashboard” at the top. On the right side of the page, information is available in regard to webinars and the online classroom. Click on “Visit the Online Classroom.” Once in the online classroom, you can search for topics using the filters on the left of the page. There is also a tutorial video at the top for further guidance.
*Please note that cultural competency sessions on Infinitec have not been reviewed by our clock hour committee, therefore, not an approved option at this time.

EM members have access to free, online PD to meet licensure mandates and other general CEU course credit offerings. Please click here and scroll down to Member Resources and click on MEA Online.
If you are not a member of EM in order to take an offering to meet your licensure mandate, contact Michael Scott via email for other options.
PLEASE NOTE: Education Minnesota is in the process of creating a training that meets the new statute requirements of training about American Indian history and culture. Cultural Competency fits this requirement if members are renewing their license this year, but beyond members will need this specific training, so we hope to have something available for the 2024-25 school year.

Review the resources, articles, and guidance for standards-based grading in each of the six chapters. In the “District Resources and Research” section at the top, submit your responses on the Google form in order to affirm your review of this site and to submit a request for two (2) clock hours.

Understanding what is meant by the "Science of Reading" is an important first step for every educator who wants to ensure all students learn to read. In this one hour introduction, we will focus on how the brain learns to read, and what type of instruction matches the science.

Dyslexia impacts students in all aspects of their education, not just in reading. This course will give you insights into what it is like to have dyslexia, and what you can do in your classroom to help your students reach their fullest potential.
This is an introductory course, and valuable for any educator at any grade level or tier of instruction.

Suffix instruction empowers students in both reading and spelling. This presentation will provide you with “the scoop” on suffixes by including the importance of suffix instruction, definition of a suffix, what suffixes may do, types, rules and application, and morphological connections. Suffix instruction is beneficial for all students. For the struggling student, it is essential.

Understanding how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma impacts students aids educators in knowing what they can do to help their students. This course will help professionals to meet the needs of students who struggle with trauma with competency and compassion so that they can feel safe and confident in and out of the classroom.

This course provides an understanding of Phonological Awareness, the importance of PA in the classroom or lesson setting, and examples of PA activities for students.

Warning: the listing for EQ Learn Online Courses states a cost of $30. The course is in 2 parts and it is $30 for EACH part, $60 total.
As of January 2024, the mandate will be met through the Cultural Competency mandate. After PESLB has this new mandate go through rulemaking, it will be a separate requirement and a separate checkoff on the clock hour site.
This mandate has been added to the District clock hour forms. Until PELSB has updated their website, the committee will keep a separate list of those who complete specific training for this mandate. However, on the PELSB website there are offerings to meet the American Indian History and Culture mandate separately once rulemaking from PELSB is complete.
