we are going to change the way we identify if roof measurements are needed or not. This should help you so you dont have to worry about calling into compliance to verify if roof measurements are needed or not.
The new thing we are going to try is having you identifying through Google or Apple Maps aerial/satellite imagery that you can clearly see the house. If you can and you can confirm that is the house, we are not required to get roof measurements.
the roof measurements questions have changed per the SOP change we pushed through in December. Please review if needed also I added the training links for Traditional Survey (Roof Measurements) to those field pro questions so they are easy to access
Exterior Roof - Identify Roof Measurement Survey - Does Google or Apple Maps have aerial/satellite imagery showing the completed home with ALL roof faces and edges visible?
IF YES, roof measurements will NOT be needed
IF NO, the associated questions will pull in and we need to get traditional roof measurements.
Exterior Roof - Roof Measurement Survey - 1.) Measure and take photos of the measurement of the perimeter edges of the roof (Needs to be lengths of eaves, not exterior walls) 2.) Measure and take photos of the measurement of all roof faces (Needs to be from eave to ridge, as well as reference measurements if hip and valley is present) 3.) Measure X-axis and Y-axis of obstructions on roof faces that have panels proposed and take photos of the measurements.

Exterior Roof - Roof Measurement Survey - After getting down from the roof, draw a sketch of the entirety of the roof and include the measurements taken. Break up the sketches if needed by roof face to show more detail.

GROUNDING AND COLD WATER BONDS
As of 9/4/2024, we are now required to record when we find grounding and what kind of grounding is present. This includes cold water bonds. This is required for all markets, especially Chicago
Insurance Inspections
Please look through the information at this link. Insurance Inspections Currently we are working with Accuserve and Sedgwick.
For Accuserve, you will need to read through the attachment in Accuserve, review pages 1-10 and pages 23-58. You will need to Download Hover and Enterprise Inspections from Livegenics. There are instructions on how to log in on those pages above. If you have questions reach out to me.
For Sedgwick, you just input all the photos into Field Pro no additional apps. This is how we are trying to get Accuserve to process these in the future. Working very heavily on that.
Additionally, for this Roof only or Insurance Inspections, you will still make a survey bonus. We are working on that structure but want to make sure you are getting paid for this extra work. This is in essence a guaranteed bonus because we don't usually reschedule or resurvey these jobs ever.

Go Pro
Please do not use the 360 view in go pro anymore for anything. We should not be using the go pro in the attic or while standing on the roof. Go pros should only be used if you cannot get on the roof safely or if you cannot get into the attic due to obstructions below the access. Even then do not use the 360 photos.
