Expectations are the clearly shared norms that promote and uphold the culture of the school. They reflect the values, standards and behaviour that are accepted of the community. The ethic of excellence is demonstrated through the implementation of high expectations; as a result of this, the aspirations and outcomes of learners are raised. The standards that are walked past are the standards that are accepted. We 'sweat the small stuff' to ensure the bar of acceptance remains consistently high and is collectively understood.
