To understand responsibilities and expectations of being an energy consultant with Initiate Solar
This role is in the Sales Department of Texas. It reports directly to Team Leader.
Receive access to Sales Support Page
Pass Energy Consultant Test with 90% or better
Attend sales meetings
Check in daily with your Team Leader providing updates or expectations for the day
Have written goals for the week and month
Be active in the Microsoft-Teams Chat room
Provide support to appointment-setters
Self report your KPI’s to your team leader daily
Be on time for Energy Consultations
Update status of company generated leads no less than 2 hrs after set appointment
Always ask for referrals before and after consultations
Make sure all documents are properly signed
Practice ethical sales tactics
Set proper expectations for homeowner about how solar will work for them
Your standard process when you start your day should be as follows:
Should be in your assigned territory no later than 10 AM
Set a target of doors that you will knock for the day
Confirm set appointments with self-gen/company generated leads
Do not take more than an hour break on the field
Be prepared for all weather conditions
Do not knock past 8 PM
Make sure you are in a consultation to end your day.
Example: Qualified Homeowners interested in going solar and on-time to their scheduled appointment.
The expected minimum KPI metrics for a full-time person are:
Generate 7-14 leads a week
Complete 2-3 sales a week
Closing ratio of 30% or better
Show rate of 50% or better
Cancellation ratio of 10% or less
Complete 5+ sales a month
