Programme Objectives
The Post Graduate Certificate in Industrial Safety (PGCINDS) Programme aims to develop skilled human resources in the field of industrial safety at the local, regional and national levels.
It seeks to build competencies and professional skills among learners to avail employment opportunities in various industrial sectors.
It aims to upgrade the knowledge and skills of those working in industry without a formal training.
The programme also caters to the academic needs of those aspiring for higher learning.

Eligibility
Graduate in Engineering/ Graduate in Science with Physics and Chemistry.
Duration of the Programme
The duration of the programme is minimum 6 Months and maximum 2 years.

Dr. Sanjay Agrawal completed his PhD from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and his Post Doctoral Fellowship was from Smart Grid Energy Research Centre, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), California, USA. He was awarded the prestigious Bhaskara Solar Energy Fellowship from the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and Department of Science and Technology (DST). He has 18 years of rich teaching and research experience. He has coordinated Programmes like B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering under Vertical Integrated Engineering Programme from 2012 to 2019 and is currently working as Programme Coordinator for PG Certificate in Industrial Safety Programme. He has also contributed on module (Solar energy and its application) for MOOCs under Awareness programme on solar Energy application–water pump which is available on SWAYAM. He has also developed course “Principles of Electrical Science” for MOOCs which is available on SWAYAM and presently developing course “Renewable Energy Technologies and Their Uses” for MOOCs which is available on SWAYAM.
His industrial experience includes working in MNCs like Johnson Control (I) Pvt. Ltd and on Projects like “Automatic power factor correction” sponsored by Applied Electro-Magnetic (P) Ltd, Noida. He has also worked on two projects as co-PI sponsored by CSVTU, Bhilai. He presented papers in Sweden, Spain and USA and has given invited talks in reputed organizations.
Other than teaching and research, he has also contributed as member in project evaluation committees of Technical Universities within and outside of India, evaluation board for different committees of AICTE, technical committees of international conferences and selection committees of different bodies. He has also been involved in examination related activities of national agencies, state public service commission and other Universities. He has guided 06 PhD scholars and 03 are in progress and also been a PhD evaluator for Universities across India. He is also member of editorial board and panel of reviewers of reputed international Journals. He has published more than 60 papers in international journal and conferences and authored two books. As per Google Scholar citation, total citation is more than 1200, his i-10 index and h-index are 25 and 20 respectively. His areas of research interest are hybrid solar thermal, grid connected photovoltaic system, exergy, carbon trading, and power system and circuit theory.
