After Hours: Club Spotlight on Builders Club and World Language Club

By Natalie Hesney

In this issue of the Boulevard, the two clubs in the spotlight are Builders Club and World Language Club.

World Language Club

The World Language Club meets on Wednesday and actively takes in new members. Snr. Thompson runs this club. The club makes bulletin boards for different holidays to recognize how people celebrate them. “We have done bulletin boards related to Valentine’s Day, related to peace, and other ideas,” said sixth grader, Ella Marie-Cayo. This club works towards teaching its members about different cultures, nationalities, and languages, hence the name.

Builders Club

Builders Club is run by Mrs. Rugen. The club meets on Thursdays, and also actively takes in new members. The main purpose of the club is to have drives for the school, such as coat drive, and the carnations earlier this year. “Builders Club is giving back to the community one step at a time. Every little thing makes a big difference,” said sixth grader, Tamar Bober-Tsafrir, a member of Builders Club. This club is great at helping out the school with their drives and sales that they have done in the past, and helping build a better community!
