Christian values are at the heart of everything that we do at Ysgol Pentre.
The Christian Values are derived from the teachings of Jesus Christ and include: Love, Kindness, Compassion, Trust, Koinonia, Respect, Peace, Friendship, Service, Creation, Honesty, Thankfullness, Humility, Wisdom, Courage, Reverence and Hope.
Collective Worship is held daily in Ysgol Pentre. Assemblies consist of pupil led, teacher led and celebration services.
Reverend Matt attends school regularly to lead worship.
We have close links with St Mary's Church and visit for activity days, services and events. We hold our Christmas concerts in the church too.
To promote our Christian Ethos, we have Ethos Ambassadors, who promote the Christian values throughout the school, lead worship and are excellent Christian role models in school. They organise Christian Value Days in which the pupils arrange exciting activities for the whole school with the aim of reinforcing our values. The Ambassadors also attend Governor meetings to feedback what has been going on in school.
While Christianity is the main religion studied in lessons, pupils have the opportunity to celebrate other faiths.
Our report will be uploaded as soon as possible
Have look at our January Christian Value Day. All activities are designed by our Ethos Ambassadors and they always give us wonderful things to do.
