Ysgol Pentre PTA

Welcome to our wonderful Ysgol Pentre,

Though we may be small we are mighty, and what we as a PTFA cherish most is the homely and family feel the school provides for not only the children, but their families and carers too.

Part of our role in the school community is to help promote and encourage this togetherness and support.

· We organise social events, such as family Quiz nights, Beetle Drives where everyone can meet and have fun. We try to have these as often as possible.

· We also have our own private Facebook page where members can share ideas and ask questions – it’s amazing what our school community knows- and can achieve - between us all.

· Supporting school events such as the Christmas Service, Sports Day, Open Mornings etc

· Holding Winter & Spring/Summer Fairs.

A large part of our role is also the traditional PTFA role of fundraising additional funds for the children and school. We achieve this through our Fairs, by providing refreshments at events, raffles etc. Through this we are able to subsidise educational trips, provide books and IT equipment, along with providing gifts to our Year 6 leavers and other treats as we are able to. We are also fortunate to know Father Christmas who makes a special trip to see the children with a gift, because he knows they always work so hard throughout the school year.

However, we are unable to do this without the support and generosity of the school community and without volunteers. We welcome new ideas and any support, be it as little or often as you may want if you would like to help. There is no pressure to take on any role or responsibilities. Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings, to meet us and see what we do.
