Report It! Launch
Our Report It! button was launched in October 2024. It allows pupils, parents/carers and members of the community to report incidences of bullying. These are investigated and dealt with following our Anti-Bullying procedures outlined in the policy at the bottom of the page. The button can be found at the top of this page.
Diversity Club
Our Diversity Club launched in September 2024.
Our key stage 3 pupils have been talking about their own identities and difficulties that they may face. They have created some handprints that represent who they are which will be turned into a display for all learners to view and contribute to.
Our key stage 4 & 5 pupils have identified specific areas that they would like to focus on including LGBTQ+ and gender equality. They have compiled specific issues that they and their peers face in school. They are working on ideas and resources to support both staff and pupils in a greater understanding.
Anti-Bullying Resources
Cynffig aims to have a strong and clear anti-bullying policy. We know that bullying happens in schools - we have a responsibility to reduce incidents to a minimum and deal with them effectively when they occur.
We do this through continual education for pupils so they understand the causes and impact of their actions.
We support both the instigators and the victims of bullying to avoid further occurences.
We use our Positive Relationship Policy to apply sanctions as appropriate to each incident.
Details of all of our procedures can be found in our Anti-Bullying Policy which has been reviewed by our Governors, Staff, Senedd Yr Ysgol (Student Parliament) and our Parent & Carer Forums.
The staff has two nominated Anti-Bullying leads:
Mr A Jones - Assistant Headteacher
Mrs C Kos - Director of Learning
Pupils can of course speak to any staff member if they are being bullied of have a concern about a peer. They can also Report It! using the button at the top of this page.
