Hairstyles must be appropriate for school. No tram lines, completely or partial shaven heads and braiding are not allowed. Mixes of natural hair colour are permitted but unnatural hair colours e.g. blue, red, silver, green, pink etc. are not allowed. Dip dyed hair is not allowed.
Jewellery is restricted to a single pair of stud earrings, one plain ring, and a watch. Facial or tongue piercings are not permitted. In the interest of personal safety both boys and girls must remove all jewellery during P.E. and Games lessons.
Coats and other outdoor clothing may not be worn in lessons. All pupils are expected to wear our school uniform, as detailed below:
Navy V- necked cardigan / jumper with school badge.
Pale blue shirt with school tie.
Plain black skirt (not tight or short) or plain black trousers (not denim, canvas, cord or linen).
No ankle tight or skinny style.
No legging style trousers or canvas shoes.
Black / navy socks or tights.
Flat black, leather type school shoes or all black trainers only (Canvas shoes are not acceptable).
Dark outdoor jacket (hoodies or tracksuit tops are not allowed at any time).
White polo t-shirt with school badge or pale blue shirt with school tie.
Navy games skirt, white polo t shirt, dark leggings / tracksuit bottoms, navy athletic shorts, trainers.
White shorts, t shirt and socks, rugby / soccer boots, Trainers, Rugby shirt and socks – navy and sky blue reversible; Rugby shorts – black, Rugby socks – navy and sky blue hoops.
Cynffig now uses a Cashless Canteen. Parents required to top up the account online at least 24 hours in advance.

School transport is organised and managed by Bridgend County Borough Council. Eligible pupils should have been informed automatically.

Pupils are expected to bring at least the essential eqiupment to school with them. This would include at least one writing pen and a pencil.
At this time of year most supermarkets have good offers on pens, pencils and pencil cases.
If possible it is also useful if your child could bring:
Colouring pencils
A rubber
A pencil sharpener
A ruler
A highlighter
A drywipe pen for mini whiteboards

As part of our Healthy Schools and Eco Schools committments we have installed water coolers around the school for pupils to refill their drinking bottles.
For the past few years Pyle Community Council have kindly provided funding for all year 7 pupils to receive a free refillable bottle.
