School philosophy regarding uniform
At Cynffig we believe that the benefits of wearing a uniform outweigh the drawbacks and a high standard of personal appearance is expected of all pupils.
Anyone arriving at school in non-uniform clothing may expect to be sent home to get changed. Repeated non-compliance will result in sanctions being applied.
Hairstyles
Hairstyles must be appropriate for school. No tram lines, completely or partial shaven heads and braiding are not allowed. Mixes of natural hair colour are permitted but unnatural hair colours e.g. blue, red, silver, green, pink etc. are not allowed. Dip dyed hair is not allowed.
Jewellery & Piercings
Jewellery is restricted to a single pair of stud earrings, one plain ring, and a watch. Facial or tongue piercings are not permitted. In the interest of personal safety both boys and girls must remove all jewellery during P.E. and Games lessons.
