Reading books are sent home every week. Please read at home with your child everyday and place the book back in your childs back, so it is available to read in school every day.
This will ensure that we can get through more texts and get your children moving through the stages quicker.
Spelling words for the term are set on Seesaw and will be assessed every Friday.
Please help your child practice their spellings at home.
We go through various spelling strateges. If you need support on these, please ask!
Our PE day is a Wednesday. Children should wear PE kits to school on Wednesday.
Please keep the weather in mind! These sessions may take place outdoors if dry, so pupils must ensure they are wearing tracksuit bottoms/leggings and a jacket or hoodie.
Children can bring a fruit snack to school to eat at playtime. Children should also bring a water bottle to school daily. Please label fruit and water with your child's name.
We have been working to improve our cursive handwriting in Dosbarth 4. Here is an example of the cursive handwriting we use in school. Any practise you do at home will help and don't forget to bring it in so we can celebrate it in class!
(Please refer to the 'Teach Handwriting' website for more support or if you have any questions I will happily help).

Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) is an online learning programme designed to help children become fast and confident with their times tables. Through fun games, challenges and competitions, children practise regularly in short bursts, improving recall speed and accuracy in an engaging, motivating way that supports maths progress both at school and at home.
