This term Mrs Lewis is looking forward to getting to know the children. Our learning has a Health and Wellbeing focus so we will be exploring and developing our understanding of our feelings. We look forward to working with all our families.
This is an inquiry into:
Understanding themselves including their physical features, family and senses.
Identifying feelings and personal boundaries
Exploring friendship and how to be kind to others.
Understanding different relationships and how important they are.
Having an awareness of your own feelings and emotions is the foundation to developing empathy.
Express ideas and emotions, develop and maintain healthy relationships, and take on different roles and responsibilities
Understand and value how feelings of belonging and connection that come from healthy relationships have a powerful effect on health well-being.

Reading books must be returned to class on your child's reading day. Children will bring home a new reading book every week. Please read at home with your child everyday.
Our PE day is a Friday. Children should wear PE kits and trainers to school on Fridays.
Children can bring a fruit snack to school to eat at playtime. Children should also bring a water bottle to school daily. Please label fruit and water with child's name.
Home learning and class information will be shared via our class Seesaw page. Please ensure you are logged on for regular class updates.
We are learning to read and write using Jolly Phonics. Jolly Phonics uses the synthetic phonics method, which means that children are taught the letter sounds first, then are taught to blend sounds together to say / read / write words.
We use a variety of manipulatives for maths and problem solving in Cynhaeaf including Numicon, counters, pegs, objects and multilink.
