Hokkaido University is actively promoting the development of a diverse and influential learning environment by incorporating digitalized educational tools, such as personal laptop computers, into their classes. The goal is to enhance the quality of education by fostering autonomous learning both on and off campus. In addition to offering online classes through synchronous delivery and on-demand classes via the Internet, students also have access to a web-based system to register for classes, check their grades, and receive information related to student life. Furthermore, students are encouraged to utilize personal laptop computers for various purposes in their daily lives, such as completing class assignments, writing reports, and working on graduation theses.
Please check the list for the recommended specifications of the laptop computer to be prepared. If your existing laptop meets the recommended specifications, you do not need to purchase a new one and can use it as is. Even if your computer does not meet the required specifications, you may still use it, but please understand that there is a possibility of problems when using it in class, etc.
