Students will be notified through the ELMS and student mailing lists about how to enroll in classes.
The building and classrooms differ depending on the subject.
You may be required to watch lecture content and work on assignments on demand before the face-to-face class. Be sure to find out after each class whether or not you will be required to do any pre-assignments.
If unsure how to proceed with a pre-assignment, ask your TA (teaching assistant) or teacher in advance.
On your computer, start up the videoconferencing software designated by the teacher, such as Zoom.
Access the specified meeting room URL or enter the specified meeting ID to enter the room.
For synchronous delivery classes, it is essential to allow plenty of time to prepare before the class starts.
If you cannot enter the room at the start of class due to a problem with the Internet environment, etc., notify the teacher in charge immediately by e-mail or other means.
Access ELMS class groups to view lecture content, assignments, delivery periods, and assignment deadlines.
※ You may be required to watch lecture videos, submit assignments and quizzes, and post on electronic bulletin boards (forums) as required activities. Check deadlines carefully and work on assignments to avoid delays.
If you do not fully understand the content of a class, look it up in the library or ask other students taking the same class.
If you have any questions about how to take the course or proceed with assignments, ask your teaching assistants (TAs) or your teacher.
Could you check the method of contacting the education department in charge of each class? If you are unavoidably absent from a class, contacting them in advance will facilitate sharing information with teachers regarding handouts, video recordings, etc., for the class sessions you are absent from.
The ELMS Portal contains notifications from the university as well as various notices from your courses (e.g., class cancellations, quizzes, report submissions, etc.). It is important to make it a habit to check the ELMS Portal and email on a daily basis.
It is convenient to check your e-mail on your cell phone as well as on your computer.
When an email is received, it first goes into a place named "Inbox" or "Inbox." Please check your email as soon as possible after you get it. It is also essential to keep your email inbox organized; in the case of Gmail, it is convenient to set up an "automatic email sorting" setting.

"Learning" includes both university classes and independent study outside of class, such as preparation and review. Learning outside of class time includes pre- and post-assignments assigned in class.
It is also essential to carefully read the syllabus of each class and register for the course, and check the class objectives and learning attainment goals to understand what you want to achieve in that class.
Manage and coordinate your class schedule to work on assignments outside class time.
To manage your schedule, using Google Calendar or similar tools is convenient. By having your calendar show, at a glance, your class schedule, assignment deadlines, club activities, part-time jobs, and personal schedule, you can keep your daily activities in perspective.
When submitting assignments via the Internet, such as through Moodle, it may take some time to upload or may not be submitted correctly due to Internet connection problems or browser malfunctions. Therefore, work on your assignments quickly and submit them well to prepare for unforeseen circumstances.
The following are the minimum rules for taking online classes. Please be aware of the rules, follow them, and take the classes.
You may not distribute to third parties or upload to SNS, bulletin boards, or other Internet sites the methods for participating in online classes (URLs, etc.), video footage of classes, course materials, or other materials provided in class. Please do not do this, as the materials and documents are copyrighted, and posting them on SNSs without the permission of their rights holders may violate copyright laws and result in legal action.
Be careful to protect your privacy. For example, do not upload or leak other students' names, student numbers, or other personal information to social networking sites, bulletin boards, or other Internet sources.
Students are not to impersonate their original students in examinations, plagiarize submissions made by others, cheat, or engage in other forms of dishonesty.
These actions are subject to disciplinary action.
