Abstract: The researcher found, in the preliminary research, there was a population gap in teenagers being studied regarding their environmental awareness and their attitudes toward the planet based on watching modern environmentally friendly films. Therefore, the researcher only used 13 to 18 year olds; they were in the United States because the modern eco-animation, Strange World, was produced in the United States. The research method used throughout the study was quasi-experimental, because there was a control group that filled out a short questionnaire, and an experimental group that watched a video clip from Strange World, then answered the same questionnaire. From this, the researcher found, using an independent t-test, there was no statistically significant difference between the film and non film groups environmental awareness. Thus, the researcher concluded the modern eco-animation, Strange World, did not have a significant impact on teenagers' awareness of the environment in the United States.Â
