52-72, 51-65
Endicott Street

Dawson F.

Welcome!

Welcome to my parcel! This section will dive into 52 - 72, and 51 - 65 Endicott Street. We will look at the history of the community and the people who lived in/around this neighborhood before the Central Artery was built!

This specific section of Endicott Street is one of the first sections of the city outside of Haymarket Square, one of the oldest public markets in Boston, which is still around today. The parcel is sandwiched between Cross Street and Stillman Street. Morton Street intersects Endicott on the odd number side of the street. There are roots of first-generation Italians and Jewish immigrants that lived in this parcel. Many of these properties have rich roots with owners that have had a great influence on the city of Boston. Though there are very few photos of the specific properties on this parcel, I have gathered a good deal of information on the people and businesses that operated here.
