George W. Buss

According to the 1895 Boston Directory, George W. Buss owned 99 Beverly Street in Boston and resided in Melrose. George W. Buss was born in Dublin, New Hampshire, and died in February of 1913, at the age of eighty-five. Buss was originally a blacksmith, but later started his own woodworking business, George W. & Co., which produced bungs and kitchen goods. This manufacturing business was located at 99 Beverly Street. 

Henry m. skinner

In 1898, Henry M. Skinner owned 41 Beverly Street in Boston, while he resided in Somerville, Massachusetts. In 1945, either in late November or early December, Henry M. Skinner died at his home in Somerville at the age of eighty-four. Skinner was associated with and worked for the Skinner and McMannus Company, located at 41 Beverly Street. He retired from this business when he was eighty years old and spent more than sixty years as a cabinet maker, making doors and other objects of intricate designs. He was survived by his daughter, Eleanor M. Bodge of Somerville, and his two sons, Raleigh M. Skinner of Somerville and Lester M. Skinner of Roxbury. 

Everett Torrey

In July of 1907, a man by the name of William C. G. Saulisbury and Lewis G. Fry transferred their parts of the estate of 69 Beverly Street to Everett Torrey. And, in December of 1907, another part of 69 Beverly Street was passed to Everett Torrey et al by Alice S. West. A few years later, Everett Torrey passed away in late September of 1911. 

Everett Torrey was born in South Scituate in 1828. He was part of a large family and was the son of David Torrey. In the 1960s, Everett Torrey became involved in the marble making and dealing business of Boston. For many years, he worked for the firm of Bowker, Torrey & Co., with his colleague and business partner, Francis E. Bowker.

On September 23, 1887, James White, the owner of 43 to 49 Beverly Street, lost at least $2,000 due to damages from a fire. At this point in time, 43 to 49 Beverly Street was occupied by Clark, Putnam, & Co., Fred C. Newhall, Robert J. Todd, the Sarven Wheel Company, and J.L. Tyler & Co, all of which are manufacturing businesses. James White was part of the firm of the Sarven Wheel Company on Beverly Street.

changing hands of 101 to 107 beverly street

According to a receipt of real estate transactions, in 1935, Arthur D. Cassell gave the title of 101 to 107 Beverly Street to Edmund W. Giblin. The building covered 8,710 square feet and was taxed for about $46,500. 

Beverly street owners are compensated for the construction and relocation of charlestown street in 1903. 

John P. Hazlett owned 39 and 41 Beverly Street in 1895. According to a newspaper article from "The Boston Globe", released on May 1, 1903, property owners were compensated due to the relocation and construction of Charlestown Street. John P. Hazlett was one of the Beverly Street owners who were compensated, others included Charles U. Cotting, Andrew R. Winslow, John G. Lamont, Henry Murray, and Oliver M. Wentworth. 

Charles U. Cotting was an honorable member of the real estate business in Boston and he later passed away in 1903. Another Beverly Street property owner was Andrew R. Winslow, who was in the paint and oil business of Boston. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1850 and died in January of 1916. Oliver M. Wentworth was another property owner of Beverly Street, and like Hazlett, was a prominent member in the real estate industry of Boston in the late 19th and early 20th century.

31 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 31 Beverly Street was owned by a saw repairer, who lived in Medford, Massachusetts, named George E. Dutton. 

39 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 39 Beverly Street was owned by Walter W. Savage who lived in Medford, Massachusetts and was a foreman.

41 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 41 Beverly Street was owned by a cabinet maker named Jeremiah L. Bean who lived in Everett, Massachusetts.

41 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 41 Beverly Street was also owned by Nehemiah S. Wood, who was a carpenter that lived in Chelsea, Massachusetts. 

41 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1898, 41 Beverly Street was owned by a cabinet maker named Albert W. Craig.

43 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 43 Beverly Street was owned by Cyrus W. Pierce, a foreman who lived in Somerville, Massachusetts.

49 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 49 Beverly Street was owned by a man named Walter S. Dyer who was a salesman. 

51 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 51 Beverly Street was owned by Frederick W. Sparrow who lived in Winthrop, Massachusetts. 

51 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 51 Beverly Street was also owned by a man named John H. McAlmon who resided in Somerville, Massachusetts. 

51 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, there were two George A. Woods listed as owning 51 Beverly Street, but both residing in Somerville, Massachusetts. One George A. Wood was a clerk and the other was a salesman. Another man by the name of Edward T. Wood owned 51 Beverly Street as well, it is presumed these Woods are related. 

 53 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 53 Beverly Street was owned by an Albert M. Colby who lived in Woburn, Massachusetts.

59 Beverly Street, Boston, Massachusetts: In 1895, 59 Beverly Street was owned by Thomas W. Brown who was in the lamp shade business.
