The Student Wellness Education Office strives to continuously improve student well-being through the 8 dimensions of wellness, which addresses students’ emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational, and social dimensions, to elevate student success in academics and in their future beyond Hofstra University. The office provides a coordinated individual and community approach to support students in critical areas such as substance abuse prevention, sexual violence awareness and prevention, and promoting healthy physical and emotional well-being and lifestyle choices. Through online and in-person peer and administrator-led programs, events and workshops, the office focuses on integrating early intervention, preventive education, community engagement, and response strategies based on assessment.
