Campus Access and Security Systems (CASS) provides students with their Hofstra photo identification for the HofstraCard (physical ID card) and HofPass (mobile credential). Either form of identification is needed to access residence halls, academic spaces, and general campus locations (Fitness Center, Hammer Lab, campus entrances, etc.). Students also use the HofstraCard/HofPass to access their dining dollars at on-campus dining locations. It should be noted that CASS is currently deploying mobile credentials (i.e., HofPass) to students by which they will be able to use an app on their phone or watch instead of a physical ID card (HofstraCard). Students can deactivate a lost HofstraCard or freeze the HofPass anytime by going to hofpass.hofstra.edu. Students can obtain a new or replacement HofstraCard by visiting Room 110 Mack Student Center, North Campus. Please note that there is a $25 replacement fee for lost cards.
