The Office of Residence Life is responsible for supporting and managing the residence halls at Hofstra University. The Living Factor, available through the Office of Residence Life, outlines the expectations and guidelines for all students living in the on-campus residence halls. Hofstra University has developed policies and procedures to ensure that all contractual relationships, as well as fire, safety, and maintenance standards, are upheld in the residence halls.
In most instances, policies relate directly to the health and safety of residents and the condition of facilities. Since the ultimate responsibility for fulfilling these standards lies with the individual residents, all residents must read and abide by the Residential Living Agreement. A copy of the agreement for undergraduate, graduate, law, and medical students can be found at hofstra.edu/respolicies.
