On November 29th, the TAB Junior and Senior Girls volleyball team competed in their very first games of the season against Garth Webb Secondary School at T. A Blakelock. They fought hard and we couldn’t be more proud of them for their hard work and collaboration together, the cheers from the packed crowds in the stands couldn’t be forgotten.
The Junior Girls game started strong and made it a very close game, but unfortunately lost by just 4 points. The Senior Girls team had great collaborative skills and held each other up with confidence. It paid off, the team won two sets and the final scores were 19 to 8 and 25 to 25.
Defensive skills shown by our tigers!
November 5th was the TAB girls second game. Both the Junior and Senior teams played with fierce determination. The Senior Girls even won their game against Oakville Trafalgar High School. They won two out of three of the sets, with a final set score of 15 to 9.
The Senior Girls played against three teams in a successful tournament, all of the games were played at the Milton Velodrome.
The first game was against Frank Hayden High School, the girls played a great game with a final score of 25 to 19. They played two sets in total and won both. The second game was against Nelson High School, the game was a tough one and definitely close but our Senior Girls pulled through. The third game was another great win played against M.M Robinson High School, the final score was 25 to 16. The tournament was incredibly well played and we are so proud of our tigers.
Both teams have competed with compassion and an obvious love for volleyball. We are very proud of both the Senior and Junior Teams and we are hopeful for the next games throughout the season!
