Habitat

Sarcosuchus lived in freshwater lakes and rivers. Though many of its relatives lived in the ocean, there were also other crocodiles competing with Sarcosuchus. During the Early Cretaceous, South America and Africa were connected, as one continent. Sarcosuchus roamed the lakes of these two continents, and many fossils have been found in Brazil and Morocco.
