Hyneria was a carnivorous lobe finned fish that would've eaten sharks. It instilled fear into all that saw it. Its diet, however, was not restricted to fish. The only land vertebrates at the time, Hynerpeton was a big amphibian that needed to mate near the water. It also had to remoisturize in the ocean. When they were near the water's edge, hynerias would jump out of the water and bite their tail. Then they get brought down to the dinner party, and served as the main course. From what we know about its size, weaponry, and senses, Hyneria may have eaten anything from placoderms (Fish similar to Dunkleosteus) to other lobe finned fish.
