Anomalocaris was two meters long, which was gigantic for the time. It had several interlocking fins on each side of it. They moved together and supported the creature so well, that there was no need for a complex brain. Anomalocaris had sticks pointing out of its head, with eyes on the end. These eyes could see behind the creature as well, and they had the most lenses out of any animal to ever exist. Anomalocaris had appendages sticking out of the front of its head, which were used for gripping prey. On these appendages were spikes, and the spikes had two other tiny spikes sticking out of the end. It has a circular mouth that crushes prey, and can't fully close.
Interesting Fact: Anomalocaris means "Strange Shrimp." However, in China they found fossils of its mouth, and named it after a jellyfish because it looked like the fossil of a jellyfish head.
