Zoom

Zoom is HCC's videoconferencing platform used for classes, advising appointments, tutoring sessions, meetings, and events.

Before Your First Meeting

1. Install the Zoom app for your device.

2. Sign in using your HCC email account.

3. Test your audio and camera before your first meeting.

Join a Zoom Test Meeting

Signing In

When prompted, select Sign in with SSO.

1. Enter your HCC email address.

2. Zoom should automatically recognize your HCC account.

3. Sign in with your HCC credentials and complete MFA if prompted.

If Zoom asks for a Company Domain, enter:
hcc-edu

Joining a Meeting

You can join a Zoom meeting by:

• Selecting a Zoom link provided by your instructor or advisor

• Opening the Zoom app and entering a Meeting ID

• Launching Zoom from a Canvas course or other HCC resource

For the best experience, use the Zoom desktop or mobile app instead of joining through a web browser.

Having Trouble?

No Audio or Camera

• Verify that Zoom has permission to access your microphone and camera.

• Check that the correct microphone and speaker are selected.

• Leave and rejoin the meeting.

Zoom Needs an Update

If Zoom prompts you to update, install the latest version before joining the meeting.

Can't Sign In?

• Verify that you can sign in to your HCC email account.

• Complete MFA if prompted.

• Try signing in again using Sign in with SSO.
