Follow these steps to sign in to your HCC account for the first time or after MFA reset to access the myHCC Dashboard.
If you know your HCC email address, Click Here to reset you HCC Account Password.
New to HCC?
To sign in for the first time, check the personal email address you used when applying to HCC.
Look for a message from helpdesk@hcc.edu with the subject "Getting Started with your HCC Account."
That email includes your HCC Account information a link to help you set your password and sign in.

Connect to HCC Wireless Guest Wi‑Fi (instructions for campus Wi-Fi)
Make sure you can open websites in your browser
A strong cell signal may also work, but Wi‑Fi is recommended on campus.
Make sure you have a stable internet connection
Initial login must be done in a web browser.
Do not start in:
❌ An email app
❌ The Microsoft Authenticator app
❌ Any other mobile app
In your browser, go to: my.hcc.edu
On the HCC sign‑in screen, enter your HCC email address (your username@hcc.edu) and click Next
Don't know your HCC email address? Contact the Help Desk
Click "Forgot my password"
or "Can't access your account?" and select "Work or school account"
These start the same process. Microsoft uses different wording on different screens.

Follow "I forgot my password" steps
Check your personal email Inbox for a verification code to enter
❌ Do not share this code with anyone. It only works for you to sign in.
✅ Sent to the personal email address you used to apply to HCC
Be sure to let Student Records know if you change your personal email address, home address or phone number; the Help Desk cannot change this information and it does not sync from your sign in methods.

Follow the on‑screen instructions to create your new password.
✅ Should be at least 12 characters long
✅ Have at least 1 uppercase letter
✅ Have at least 1 lowercase letter
✅ Have at least 1 number
✅ Have at least 1 special character (!@#$%_ )
❌ Not include your name
❌ Not include your ID number
❌ Not be too easily guessible "We've seen this password too many times."

Once your password is changed, you can sign in to the myHCC Dashboard and other HCC resources with single sign-on (SSO).
Go to https://my.hcc.edu to sign in.
If you see "Let's keep your account secure." after signing in, Click here for the MFA Setup Guide.
You may need Help Desk assistance if:
You can't access the email address you used to apply
(for example, a high‑school email account)
You can't install the Microsoft Authenticator app
Your app store account is locked or unavailable
You don't receive verification messages
Check your spam folder
The process becomes confusing or stops unexpectedly
❌ No one from IT or the Help Desk will ever ask for your password
❌ Never share a verification code (a.k.a. one time passcode, OTP, passcode)
❌ Never approve a sign‑in you didn't start or can't see on your screen
If something doesn't feel right, stop and contact the Help Desk.
