HCC uses Barracuda as a SPAM filter in addition to the junk mail or spam folder in Gmail.
Our Barracuda spam filter is designed to catch and quarantine suspicious emails, including potential phishing attempts. When a message is flagged, you’ll receive a quarantine notice.
You may receive periodic summary notices of quarantined mail from Barracuda.
In most cases, the messages quarantined by Barracuda should be ignored. Unless you are expecting a message from a specific sender, you can simply disregard the Barracuda notice.
If you are sure that it is a message you are expecting, you can click DELIVER to have the message sent to your Inbox.
Just a quick reminder on how we handle spam filtering: Barracuda is our first line of defense against spam and phishing emails.
If you receive a Barracuda quarantine notification, you can review the message there. Most quarantined emails can be safely ignored.
If something slips through Barracuda, Google’s spam filters in Gmail provide a second layer of protection.
If you're looking for a missing email, check Barracuda first, then your Gmail spam folder.
In Gmail, you may need to click “More” in the left-hand menu to see the Spam folder.
