HCC uses Barracuda as a SPAM filter in addition to the junk mail or spam folder in Gmail.
Our Barracuda spam filter is designed to catch and quarantine suspicious emails, including potential phishing attempts. When a message is flagged, you’ll receive a quarantine notice. View your Message Log to see the messages quarantined by Barracuda.
You may receive periodic summary notices of quarantined mail from Barracuda.
In most cases, the messages quarantined by Barracuda can be ignored. Unless you are expecting a message from a specific sender, you can simply disregard the Barracuda notice.
If you are sure that it is a message you are expecting, you can click DELIVER to have the message sent to your Inbox.
Just a quick reminder on how we handle spam filtering: Barracuda is our first line of defense against spam and phishing emails.
If you receive a Barracuda quarantine notification, you can review the message there. Most quarantined emails can be safely ignored.
If something slips through Barracuda, Google’s spam filters in Gmail provide a second layer of protection.
If you're looking for a missing email, check Barracuda first, then your Gmail spam folder.
In Gmail, you may need to click “More” in the left-hand menu to see the Spam folder.
View your quarantined Message Log at ess.barracudanetworks.com. Enter your HCC email address and Continue with Microsoft to sign in.
