Welcome to HCC! Before starting classes you will need to access your HCC Account and become familiar with HCC systems.
Your HCC Account provides single sign-on (SSO) access to most of the resources HCC has to offer, including:
HCC Email (Gmail and Google Workspace), Canvas Learning Management System, Microsoft 365, HCC computers, Rave Emergency Alert System, and HCC Wireless. The same username and password are used to sign into all HCC Account systems.
HCC Resources are designed to be easily available from the myHCC Dashboard at https://my.hcc.edu.
Your account is created for you when you are accepted as a student. Look for your acceptance letter from Admissions.
Click here to see how to determine your HCC Account information.
When signing into your HCC Account for the first time, you will be prompted to add a multi-factor authentication (MFA) method to your account.
HCC recommends using the Microsoft Authenticator app, which uses Wi-Fi and works both on and offline.
HCC uses Gmail.
If you have another Gmail account or when signing in on a Chrome or Android device or a Google app, you will need to use the Add Account option or add a new profile to your browser.
Go to myHCC Dashboard → My Online Resources → HCC Email or http://mail.hcc.edu
After setting up your primary multi-factor authentication method, it is recommended to set up a back-up sign-in method.
Go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup and add your cell phone number.
With a second method, you can change devices and still sign in.
New device and same phone number? Use the phone number to authenticate the new app.
New phone number and same device? Use the app to remove the old and add the new number.
If you get a new device and a new number, you will need to contact the Help Desk.
myHCC Dashboard → My Student Resources → My Navigate360
Navigate360 is a platform that helps get you from acceptance to graduation! The app helps you choose the right major, navigate requirements from financial aid to course registration, and stay on top of important dates and deadlines
Search for "Navigate Student" from EAB Global on Google Play Store or Apple App Store
myHCC Dashboard → My Online Resources → Rave or https://www.getrave.com/login/hcc/
Rave is used to provide alerts for emergencies, such as weather-related closures, and is available to new students 1 week prior to the start of the semester.
All students are registered to receive email notifications from Rave via their HCC email address.
Sign in to add additional contact information, such as cell phone.
Set a reminder to come back and add your preferred contact information to Rave. You may want to review it at the start of each semester, too.
myHCC Dashboard → My Student Resources → My Canvas or canvas.hcc.edu
NOTE: Canvas is only accessible to students who are registered for a current or upcoming class.
If you are not yet registered, please work with your advisor.

myHCC Dashboard → My Student Resources → My Canvas or canvas.hcc.edu
Sign in with your school account
Enter your HCC email address
PRO TIP: Sign in on the computer then select My Account → QR for Mobile Login for easy access on your smartphone.
Download and install the "Canvas Student" app from Instructure for your phone from Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Find My School and search for Holyoke Community College
Sign in using your HCC email address
Go to canvas.hcc.edu/courses and note the Published status. Contact your professor to publish the class.
myHCC Dashboard → My Online Resources
Your HCC Account provides you access to Google Workspace apps and Microsoft Office 365
https://workspace.google.com/dashboard
Google Workspace apps are designed to run in the browser and can be accessed on most devices.
Microsoft Office apps can be run in the browser with Microsoft 365 or the full Office suite. Go to the Microsoft 356 portal and sign in with your HCC account to download the apps to your device.
HCC recommends the latest Google Chrome browser. Chrome supports profiles.
Add a new profile to your browser to keep your HCC Account information separate from your other online accounts. HCC uses Microsoft for authentication and single sign-on and Gmail for email, so using a profile will prevent account confusion if you use these services with another school or organization.
Click on the Profile button in the upper right corner and select Add
Continue without an account (you will add this later)
Name it school or HCC
This will open a new window for the new profile.
Continue to the sign in process
