Making a track for the Hot Wheels cars
make a race between cars
a track that goes up and over a table
a track with a flat loop that goes around a chair
a track that is mainly loops
a track that curves around a table
a track that goes under a table a straight track
a curved track
a track that goes over multiple tables
make the cars jump over things
a track where a part of it goes over another part of the track
a sling shot to shoot the car down the track
a track that goes around and around an object
a track that goes up a wall
a track with a road block
a ramp
an infinite track
a track with a lot of curves
a homemade track
a gigantic track
an extremely small track
a track with multiple endings
a track with multiple spots for cars
a track that has a homemade landscape around it
a track that goes off of a table and goes through multiple loops
a track that goes up and down with no loops
I am working in a team with Mya and Lamarcus
we will need Hot Wheels track pieces and cars
We plan on making a race a track that goes off of a table and goes through a bunch of loops and finishes of with a loop.
We will make our project unique by using our own original ideas to make the track for the cars
This is a picture of the end of the track

This is the video of the final run of the track
Using a hot wheels track and hot wheels cars, I created a long track that starts on a table and goes through 3 loops and ends on the floors because we thought that it would be fun to work with hot wheels. We also thought that instead of doing a plain old track we would make it fun by having the car go through multiple loops. Making the cars go through multiple loops was a challenge but we were able to do it.
During this process, I learned how to make the car go faster on the track without pushing the car faster. We were able to do this by pushing the beginning of the track higher so that the car could have more speed right from the beginning. One last thing that we did to make the car go through all of the loops was make the loops go closer together because we noticed that the cars had a lot of speed right when they went off of a loop so we put them closer together and it worked.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we had to design the track so that the cars could actually finish it. We also had to keep going over our design so that we could get the car to go through the whole thing.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the car to go through all of the loops. I was able to do it by making the beginning of the track taller. I also made the loops closer together because we noticed that the cars had a lot of speed right when they went off of a loop.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of the track. The reason why I would change it is because the car went through the track so fast that it seemed like all of our hard work was just over really quick. I would also change how many loops we put in the track because I would have liked to put more than three loops in.
