Using Minecraft , I created a farm because I knew that I wanted to make a project on Minecraft because I like to do projects on the computer more than ones that aren't. Also I live on a farm so I have a pretty good idea of what they look like so I choose to do a farm.

During this process, I learned how to get my agent to build for me. This was a struggle because I couldn't figure out what the coding blocks meant so I had to go do the lessons again. To fix this problem I looked closer at the lessons and instead of using coding blocks I used java script.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because you have to think of what you are going to build and then you have to build it. Also you have to figure out how to code your agent.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting my agent to build for me. I was able to do it by going over the lessons that they give you a couple of times so that I could understand what I was supposed to do better. Also instead of using coding blocks I used java script.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the environment that I used. The reason why I would change it is because the environment that I used was really uneven and was all rock which is not the best for a farm. So that means that my farm is not really realistic.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Computer Programming because yo have to be able to understand how to code just like you have to in order to program a computer.
