Day 1: Though of ideas to do.
Day 2: Figured out what we were going to do, electric skateboard.
Day 3: started the tutorial of the skateboard
Day 4: Kept working on the skateboard.
Day 5: kept working on the skateboard but got stuck on how to put the motor mount on.
Day 6: restarted because something was wrong.
Day 7: had to work on 8P3
Day 8: Ran out of time to finish, did reflections
Using lectec skateboard, lectec tutorial, and iPad. I started to create a electric skateboard but ran out of time to finish. I created a electric skateboard because I feel like it would be really cool to make a electric skateboard that actually worked and you can ride on.
During this process, I learned that the wheels had to go on a certain side because we made that mistake and then we had to restart. Now I know that you have to pay attention and watch the tutorial closer.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we built the skateboard by our-self and put all of the parts together with tools.
A challenge I overcame on this project was putting the motor mount on. I was able to do it by starting over and looking at the motor mount closer and also restarting and trying again until we get it right and put it on the correct way.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of time. We should have started the tutorial the first day and not try to do it by our-self. The reason why I would change it is because we didn't get to finish it in time and didn't get to ride it.
