Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
Computer, 3D printer, tinker cad
What is your plan to create in this project?
Something that I might actually be able to use to solve my problem
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will be different than other peoples.
Day 1: Made list of ten, planning questions (didnt finish them), and added daily log.
Day 2: Finished planning questions, make a mini hammer (For a little screw or something) , made a mini bracelet holder (for fun and testing)
Day 3: Started making a bracelet holder (because I have to many bracelets to just put them somewhere.)
Day 4: Make a bead spinner, which turned out pretty good. (Because making bracelets take a long time.)
Day 5: Made a different way to hold bracelets, didn't finish, (because I have to many bracelets to just put them somewhere.)
Day 6: Colored and made the other bracelet holder smaller, Made a little stand to hold some of my little ducks.
Day 7: Finished up little details on my projects, did planning questions, figured out my finial project. (bead spinner)
Day 8: Put the picture of my finial project on my website, exported project, finished reflection.
Day 9: Took video of my finial project, added the video to my website.
Using tinker-cad, computer, and also a 3d printer, I created a bead spinner because it takes a long time to put the beads on the string so it is easier with a bead spinner.
During this process, I learned that sometimes your designs don't work out so always try again and don't give up.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I don't give up until I am finished with my design, also I am making something to solve the problem I have which is that I don't have enough room for all of my bracelets and that they take a long time to make.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having the shapes line up correctly. I was able to do it by making the square bigger or smaller depending on what it needs and then shaping them differently.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change not making a more complex project. The reason why I would change it is because I wish I would have made less projects that were bigger, and not having a lot of little projects. Another thing I would change is making it bigger. I would want it bigger because then it could be more realistic and easier to use.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in mechanical design because we had to design our own stuff to even solve a problem for a real use.
This is my finial project. I made a bead spinner because making bracelets takes a long time and I can now just dump the beads in it. Then I would hook string to a needle asnd spin it. Then after that I would put the needle in it and get the beads on it quicker than before.
