What is your plan to create in this project?
Make a car crash because they were speeding
What unique qualities will your project have
It will have a cool car and unique designs.
Day 1: Made list of 10, added planning questions, picked some topics, found some Legos that would be good for the crash.
Day 2: Finished planning questions, found more Legos to use, made a little wall that the car will hit.
Day 3: Started taking pictures took 100, made the car crash and pieces go everywhere, made someone pick the pieces up.
Day 4: We got more legos for the next lesson
Day 5: We made a different life lesson, took 170 pictures.
Day 6: The lesson we are doing is have fun but be safe, took more pictures.
Day 7: We made the car crash into a house. Took a lot of pictures.
Day 8: took 300 pictures and made the car park.
Day 9: Finished taking all of our pictures.
Day 10: Added planning questions, worked on the finial video
Day 11: Almost finished the video.
Day 12: Finished the finial video.
Using iMovie, iMotion, Legos, and also the iPad. I created a life lesson which was always have fun but be safe, I created that because it is always good to have fun but you always have to be safe. For example if you were to drive around in a race car you would have to be safe and watch where you are going. There is always a way that you can do stuff but do it safely. I think it is a good life lesson and a good way to live.
During this process, I learned how to make a stop motion project. I also learned that it is very fun but also takes a long time to make a stop motion project.
It takes a lot of pictures and also a lot of time. It took me a little over a week to finish my project which was around 1000 pictures! I thought it would have been a little bit easier than it was but it was not hard. I am very glad that I learned how to do a stop motion project and overall I really enjoyed the whole process.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I had to work with someone else and we both made the Stop Motion video together. Also because after we made the video I put it on my website for everybody to see whenever they want too.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting to 1000 pictures I was able to do it by working hard and not giving up! We also had to make the movements smaller when we moved the people and cars. I also had to communicate well with my partner. One time my partner was gone and she didn't tell me then we were behind by like 100 pictures or so, that was bad communication. I still feel like we did good though because we got it done in the time frame.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I took the pictures. The reason why I would change it is because it was kind of shaky I wish the iPad was held straight each time and then the pictures were taking in the same spot each time. That is what I wish we changed when making the Stop Motion Project. Next time I will definitely be better and have someone actually help move the person and car littler movements and keeping the camera more still.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multi Media CTE program at Hastings High School. I say this because Digital Multi Media is when people would design and make their own video, also adding a sound to a video. It is also when someone shares a video they made. Those are all things that I did when I made my video. That is why I would say Digital Multi Media.
My project connects to careers in Animation, (an Animator), because I made my own content and a video. I designed it all myself and made the video the way that I wanted it, a Animator also could persuade education, so my project relates to this because I am making the video to tell about a life lesson, which is always have fun but be safe about it. That is how an Animation job relates to my project that I made.
