Are you working by yourself or in a team?
By myself
What materials will you need for your project?
Adafruit Circuit Playground, computer, iPad
What is your plan to create in this project?
Different lights changing at different times.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will have cool codes.
Day 1: Day 1: Made a new subpage, list of ten, planning questions, and daily log, made a light at different brightness.
Day 1 (Video)
Day 2: Made a button clicker and made it green if u win and red if you lose, also made a rainbow when different stuff is clicked or actions.
Day 2 picture
Day 3: Made a clap light, at first it didnt work then it finiallly did, started making something else

Day 4 picture
Day 4: Made random things and messed around on adafruit.
Day 5: Made a thing where the colors change every time I click a different button. Didn't work then did. Made a white disco ball.

Day 5 disco ball
Day 6: Made a multi colored disco ball, then mamde random codes.
Day 6 Pic
Day 7: Made it where itg changes spots of sparkles. Made random codes after.

Day 8: Made a cool design and make it sparkles, added planning questions.

Day 9: Finished my reflection on my project.
Using Adafruit Circuit Playground, computer. I created a bunch of cool codes like a disco ball, a disco ball that flashes through all the colors, clap light, and more, I did this because I think it is cool when you can create stuff the way you want to and make it unique in your own way. Coding is actually really cool and very fun to do!
During this process, I learned that coding is not that hard. I thought it was going to be hard, but it wasn't. I also learned that the clap light was easy and just needed a sound code, like on a loud sound show this color. Overall, I thought it was pretty easy to code on the Adafruit Circuit Playground and very fun!
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge constructer because I had to research ideas and how to code different stuff. Also, I was on the internet making different codes.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having the clap light work. I was able to do it by trying again and not giving up when it doesn't work very well. I just had to look up how to do the clap light and watch a tutorial and learn from it. I realized that you only had to add one code to make it work which really surprised me because it seemed hard to do.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change not making a sound code. I would change this because I feel like it would have been really cool if I would have tried to make a song or like a beat instead of making small projects. Next time I code I will make something with the sound and defiantly take my time with it and not care how long it takes.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programing CTE program at Hastings High School, because I used the computer and I created my own codes that I used.
My project connects to careers in software engineering because I had to code and design my own codes to make different designs. After I made and designed the codes the way I wanted them, then I tested them and if something was wrong, if some part of the code didn't work, I would go back and fix it. Just like software engineering I used online tools too.
