Are you working by yourself or in a team?
In a team with Nevaeh, and Caycee
What materials will you need for your project?
Cardboard, Hot glue, Yarn ,Paint, Markers, Springs, Popsicle sticks, scissors, cardboard scissors,
What is your plan to create in this project?
Make it like a computer monitor and keyboard and a mouse.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will look like a computer and the keys so they actually go down.
Using paint, hot glue, cardboard, sponges, scissors, popsicle sticks, string, cardboard scissors, iPad and iMovie. I created a keyboard, pc, monitor, and a mouse because I like working on computers and doing tech stuff in general.
During this process, I learned to not give up when something didn't go right like when we couldn't get springs, so we had to work with sponges instead.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovation designer because I get my own ideas and not copying them from other people.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not having the cardboard that we wanted at the beginning. I was able to do it by working with what I had and also figuring out a different way to use the cardboard that we have to work with, so it works out the way we want it to be.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the keyboard, I would change it so then the keys actually have letters on them and to make the keyboard bigger so all of the keys actually fit on it. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like it doesn't look as good because there is not 10 numbers on it and also there is not enough keys for all of the letters to fit, and to make it look more realistic.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in architect because architects build and make houses and different sculptures, they also make a plan and layout of their idea before starting their projects. Just like us, we made our plan first then actually built the idea.
This is my cardboard creation.
