I am working by myself, but it is a competition so I technically are working with others.
What materials will you need for your project?
The drone, drone controllers, batteries and our Chromebook to code on.
What is your plan to create in this project?
The plan is to create a competition between the drones to see who wins.
What unique qualities will your project have?
My code is going to be different to everyone elses code.
Today we all attempted to fly our drones for the first time.
Today I learned how to flip the drones and I found out the batterys for the drones do not last long.
Today we learned how to code the drones.
Today I helped to update the drones and I had a computer errow on the website for the coding and it wouldn't work.
Today I got the website to work and we were discussing what we should do for the compition.
Today we worked on trying to figure out how to get the drone to regonize the colored tiles.

Today my website for the coding wasn't working again so I filmed Cody's and Reuben's drone coding.
Today I finished up my reflection and got everything onto my webstie.
Using Blockly and Codrones, I created a competition between a couple people. I helped to create this competition because we wanted to see who was the best at coding. We wanted to learn how to use and code the drones which was something brand new for most of us.
During this process, I learned how to code a drone and how to fly it. I learned this by reading the manual and talking to my friends. When I was first flying the drone I made a lot of mistakes because of my controllers trimming not being the best so I had to re trim it so it would fly accurately.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator. It ties to creative communicator because we had to figure out what way would be the best to share the videos with each other and the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was my blockly website not loading. I wasn't able to actually get it to work so I could do my coding. We attempted to get it to work by changing the drone, changing the batteries, changing computers, we even had our tech guy come down and try to get it to work but it never did.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my knowledge on these drones and coding. The reason why I would change it is because if I knew more about coding I feel that the project would be way better. I also wish my coding website would've loaded so I could've attempted to learn more about coding instead of learning how to get the website to work.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programing CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this because we had to code the drones for the competition.
My project connects to careers in Robotics Softwear Enginering. It connects to this because it is coding drones to not hit obsticals and do certain things. It focus more on the robotics of drones compared to everything else.
