7P6 - Virtual Reality

Using Cospaces , I created a digital VR world because I wanted to have giant animals in my zoo. I really wanted to be able to have more space but I made my animals to big. I also got to see my world in a VR headset and it was really cool.

During this process, I learned how to make a VR world and add sunglasses to animals. I also made my animals move when I wanted them too. In my first idea I coded the animals top make them be able to follow me through he burning celling.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because I got to pick what I wanted to make. I chose what I wanted to make and was able to pursue that goal.

A challenge I overcame on this project was coding my animals to move. I was able to do it by grouping all the animals together. I didn't keep the coding in my final project.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way I made my project and what exactly I wanted to make. The reason why I would change it is because my world was kind of boring and my classmates projects were way cooler. I also would change the amount of space I had on the world because things got a little cramped.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in video production because you can watch videos on multiple different devices. You could also do anything with audio or animation. So, if you wanted to animate videos or make movies you would be doing digital l multimedia.
