Using the computer and the Cospaces site, I created a multi-level extinction level event because I felt it'd be funny and it was fun to make something like that as I usually don't try to do anything like that. Another reason I did it was because I figured it'd be a good chance to learn how to code better. I made it also because I hadn't remembered my ideas and thought that this was the best thing I could do.
During this process, I learned how to code in Cospaces better and how to do more with the coding using Coblocks. I also learned what the animations both look like and how I can change them in Coblocks. I learned that the orca's attack animation makes it hit the ground as well so that was interesting.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to global collaboration because I was able to put my things on a website that everyone in the world can see. Another reason is that I can put things on my website and allow the people of the world to view my less-than-perfect website.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to properly rotate my orca so it follows the shark as the shark swims away. I was able to do it by testing the various codes and figuring out how to rotate it using the rotate code. Another thing was the intervals between when the codes I've put into effect.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the time it takes for the codes to take effect and start to make things move. The reason why I would change it is because a lot of the code I made is useless in the second scene. I would also change what the coding looks like because I could have made my coding a lot smoother.

My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in software engineering because I am creating a site or something much like a site and using it to show people what I've made. Another reason for my project tying to software engineering is because I am maintaining my website and constantly making updates and things of the sort. It also ties to software engineering since I am measuring the speed of my website and I am constantly making tweaks and adjustments for the speed of the website.
