7P8 makey makey

Using the makey makey, I created a playdoh controller because I wanted to try and make something that I can use to play games with. I also made it because I really just wanted to play some games.

During this process, I learned how to properly use the makey makey. I also learned that i am physically conductive. Learned that alligator clamps hurt when hooked onto your skin as well.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaboration because I am putting something on my website which can later be seen by the general public. Another reason is that people will not be blocked out when they try to view it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to actually make the playdoh be conductive. I was able to do it by testing out things by putting one end of the clamps into the playdoh and touching home to see if it works. Another thing i came over was actually figuring out what sizes of playdoh I need to make it work.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I actually made. The reason why I would change it is because I find it extensively unsatisfying. Another reason is that it was overall very lazy and bad.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in project engineering because I am testing something that is used as a project. Another reason is that I am overseeing the projects abilities.
