Using the CNC machine and the computer, I created mighty eagle because I was bored. I also made it because my friend said what I was originally making looked like him.

During this process, I learned how to use the CNC machine and how to use the things inside of the easle site. I also learned how to properly clamp the wood down to the board. I also learned how to tell what wood type it is depending on looks alone.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project is tied to Global Collaborator because. I am putting things onto a site that everyone can see. Another reason it ties in with this is that people won't be blocked from seeing what is on my website.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to set up my lines for my project properly. I was able to do it by testing out various tools that are available to the public.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of my lines. I would change how wide it is because if I did this I would've been able to carve my thing. Another thing I would change is my mighty eagle design. 

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in wood carving because I used a machine to carve a design into the wood. Another reason is because I made the design and (for the most part) planned it out then went to try and carve it all be it with no success. The last reason is that I used a block of wood and used a machine to carve at least one thing into the piece of wood even though I failed to do the entire project I still managed to carve at least one thing.
