Are you working by yourself or in a team?
in a team
What materials will you need for your project?
a lot of cardboard tape and hot glue also cardboard scissors
What is your plan to create in this project?
a spear from Sparta
What unique qualities will your project have?
it will be specially crafted by my hands and any mistake will be worked over just like a real blacksmith does
cut out some pieces and hot glued some of them together to get a small start going.
hot glued my pieces together and got a general image of the handle of my spear which got a good base is essential for making a good spear
finally finished gluing and got the base of my spear done and connected it using glue and tape planning on adding a head tomorrow.
got my tip on the spear done and taped it to make it look silver and metallic like an actual spear head.
Using cardboard, hot glue, and tape, I created a really "cool" looking spear because we all wanted to make something and they wanted to make armor and a warrior isn't a warrior unless they have their trusty weapon.
During this process, I learned how to use all of my recourses and how to get things to securely stay together.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because I set a goal to make a half decent spear and I did pretty well on it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning what pieces i needed and how to connect them. I was able to do it by identifying the problems and testing out different solutions to resolve my problem.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I made the tip. The reason why I would change it is because I am unsatisfied with the finished result but it works for now.
