sewing machine, sewing materials, pins, yadda yadda yadda.

What is your plan to create in this project?

we plan on creating a blanket (he gets it :/)

What unique qualities will your project have?

it will be made by mine and my partners own hands, which are new to sewing.

day 1

we went to the office to get some help. my partner won the rock paper scissors for the blanket

the office lady helped us pin our blanket down and then taught us how to sew (for beginners)

we flipped in inside out then started to knot it so the inside stuff wouldnt fluff around and clump up

Using the sewing machine, I created a blanket because we wanted something you can get warm in and watch movies.
During this process, I learned how to sew.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I'm putting something on a website anyone can look at.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the sewing machine not wanting to make our edge. I was able to do it by giving the woman that was helping us and having her sew it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the width of our blanket. The reason why I would change it is because the blanket was quite thin for its size.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in sewing because I sewed a blanket.
