Using Tinkercad, I created a bunch of things like a coin holder, a little desk friend, and a pineapple in a box because these were either things I thought about making or just experimented and made on accident. My main design was the coin holder as it was the one i thought to originally go with and it was one of my 10 great ideas.
During this process, I learned how to effectively use Tinkercad and its assets. I also learned how to fix problems by adjusting the size/height of my holes/blocks. I learned how to merge everything I have to make it move all together which is really useful when you need to move everything.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I am making something and sharing it to the entire world. Another reason is because not only can students/teachers see my website and creations but adults around the U.S.A. can see them if they want to do that.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out what to change to make it look a little bit better for the eyes. I was able to do it by removing/adding things to my project and experimenting with size and other things to make it perfect. Another challenge I overcame was figuring out what to actually make since there was so much to do with Tinkercads blocks and other items
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I made. The reason why I would change it is because overall it was a very bad design and didn't really come up to my standards. Another reason is that it took me a while to make it what it turned out to be.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. The reason for this is that I figured out my problems and solved them by brainstorming ideas.
My project connects to careers in graphic design because I used a computer to make a visual concept. Another reason is that I used a computer to share ideas and communicate with others. The last reason is that I focused only on 3D concepts to create a visual design.
