I am working by myself on this project.
I will need pixlr, a computer, and an iPad.
I plan to create edited photos of the U.S. presidents in a place/photo that relates to their presidencies.
My project will have people guessing what the presidents did by where they are.
Using pixlr, I created presidents of the U.S. in different places/settings because it was a fun and creative way to express historical events. I set this up so that when people see these pictures they will have to guess what the given president did. What the president did relates to where they are.
During this process, I learned how to use pixlr editing. I learned how to cut out photos and turn them into png's. I also learned how to add these png's to different photos and how to crop the photos and resize the images.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I am sharing my project with people. These people try and guess what each president did to end up where they are.
A challenge I overcame on this project was cropping the presidents. I was able to do it by zooming in and delicately cutting them out. Abraham Lincoln was especially difficult because it was a black and white photo and the white was very visible when contrasted with Lincoln.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how fast I cut the presidents out. The reason why I would change it is because there are pieces of the surroundings still attached to all the presidents. If I had taken more time I could have done this more carefully and minimized the clips of their surroundings.

My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in photo editing.
I started the daily log, list of 10 good ideas, and planning questions.
I finished my planning questions, list of 10 good ideas, and editing the U.S. presidents. I added them in and added their captions. I also started my reflection.
I finished my reflection and made sure all images were public.
Added the video and turned in.
