I am working by myself.
A 3d printer, a computer, and an iPad.
I plan to create an alive pyramid.
A unique quality our project has is that my triangle project can still swim without arms or legs.
Using tinkercad, I created an alive pyramid because it is an original idea. I made him have flippers and two hands. It also was given an elegant mustache.
During this process, I learned how to send a project to the printer. I also learned how to properly move the screen. This helped me properly move objects and align them with the pyramid.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I had to learn many things to properly complete it. Like being able to move the screen around the triangle right and to lock objects in their place.
A challenge I overcame on this project was being able to make my project small enough to print. I was able to do it by changing the dimensions of the pyramid. I also had to send it as a file twice because it would not load my changes which I solved by saving it again.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design. The reason why I would change it is because I think I could have added more to the 3d design. Actual arms and legs would be an example.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in 3d design art, engineering, and 3d printer designing.
This is an image of my project before I printed it. It was slimmed after this image was taken.
This is the final project. It lost an eye and was cracked on the edges.
